As a young adult, my father would speak to me about his journey through life. Often reminding me and my siblings of the land we left behind in pursuit of new beginnings. We left everything behind — family, friends and every single possession we had. To this day I remember his admonition to me of “son, when a person stops dreaming, he might as well be dead.” It began for us with a dream of a better life. Read more here on Forbes.
